Abstract

The article examines the activity of the Young Pioneer Organization of Tambov region in 1945-1953. Special attention is paid to changing the style, forms and methods of work under the conditions of the post-war development. The author emphasizes that Young Pioneer detachments and brigades sought to vary socially useful leisure activity of Young Pioneers and schoolchildren. The analysis of archival documents has shown that the regional authorities recognized the necessity to avoid overloading children with social and other extra-curriculum assignments. Serious difficulties when working with children were associated with the low qualification of senior Young Pioneer leaders.
