Abstract
The article examines the modern market of oilseeds in Russia. The most popular oilseed crops in the country are highlighted, their features and the geography of cultivation by region. The efficiency of the production of oil crops is justified on the basis of data on profitability and prospects of projected demand. The indicators characterizing the dynamics of production, the area of crops and the yield of oilseeds in recent years are given. The rating of Russian sunflower oil exporting companies, data on the volume and commodity structure of exports of oilseeds are presented. Data on ongoing investment projects for the construction of new processing plants are presented. Conclusions are formulated about the peculiarities of the development of the oilseed market based on the studied indicators.
