Abstract
Chemical engineering is a multi-dimensional system, complicating in the historical process of development and disciplinary branching of natural science and engineering and technological developments. Technology itself, as “logic,” is an immaterial system, or theory of practice, and in material realization - socially significant practice of obtaining useful products. Among the products of technology, the largest area is a set of material values: a variety of materials., machines and mechanisms, drugs, fertilizer, research tools. There are many principles of classification of components, as a technology in general and chemical technology. Chemical technology in the theoretical and practical fields is not autonomous - it is always integrated with many fields of natural science and technology: metallurgy, pharmacy, biotechnology, nanotechnology and in various forms in the field of solving environmental problems of the functioning of industrial production and human activity in general. The analysis of the problem gives grounds for the allocation of three levels of study of the phenomenon of “chemical technology”: 1) institutional (educational and research institutions); 2) subject (directions of activity of laboratories, department of higher education, engineering and technological centers); 3) personal (individual areas of professional activity of representatives of the technological community). In addition to this, chemical technology should be studied on the basis of identifying: 1) factors of its dynamics; 2) areas of improvement; 3) perspective areas of development. In addition, important results are given by the individual knowledge and orientation of experienced professional technologists in determining the concept of "chemical technology", its essence and perspective directions. The set of proposed approaches allows us to identify the main structural components of modern chemical technology and the most promising areas of its development.
