Abstract
This article reveals the essence of deconstruction (erasure, destruction) and identifies its role in the development of a modern avant-garde costume. Designers around the world are constantly searching for new ideas in the sphere of fashion. Traditional, long-established forms of the costume, pure styles, harmoniously balanced parts, elements and details are perceived as routine and boring. Reinterpretation of the accumulated design experience occurs; avant-garde design is based on provocation sharply contradicting the prevailing ideals of beauty. Avant-garde deconstruction fashion contributes to reconsidering clothing traditions.
