Abstract
In the following article, the results of world civilizations(defined similarly to the Samuel Huntington’sresearch framework) in the international trade in cultural goods are examined. This branch of international trade remains scarcely studied in Russian academic literature, even though exports of cultural goods are important for economic development and soft power strategy of various countries. Based on UNESCO statistical data, quantitative assessments are presented, showcasing that Western, Islamic and Chinese are the current leaders in world trade in cultural goods. The possible reasons and implications of such situation are then discussed.
