Abstract

The main cognitive skills of students in the context of their use in the design process are defined and analysed. The importance of project activity for the development of general and special abilities of its participants is noted. Cognitive abilities are united into five separate groups. The key aspects of interrelation of project and cognitive activity in the learning process are revealed.
