Abstract
The article presents results of the clarifying study aimed at establishing features of resilience development as a professionally important quality of security department employees of a correctional facility. It is revealed that less than a quarter of the surveyed employees have low indicators of resilience. The remaining employees demonstrated an average and high level of resilience development. However, in each group of subjects with a different level of resilience, a diverse combination of components is determined with the help of the U-criterion of the Mann–Whitney difference and the φ*-Fisher angular transformation. It is established that employees with a high index of resilience have only a highly developed component of “risk taking”, they are open to new experiences, ready to change in emerging difficult professional situations in order to be effective at work. Employees with a low level of resilience development act strictly according to someone else’s instructions, without delving into the essence of the situation.
