Abstract

This article reveals the current trends in the process of mergers and acquisitions in international business. It is analyzed that the processes of mergers and acquisitions are key in the modern world economy and occupy an important link in international competition, as for some parties they open the way to salvation in fierce competition by combining resources and technologies, sharing experiences and business principles and for others it is a way to realize their aggressive and / or raider intentions. It is determined that the rapid development of the market of mergers and acquisitions is an indicator of the search for enterprises to expand the boundaries of their activities, increase business efficiency, find their place in world markets, as well as market retention in conditions of fierce competition, constant environmental change and crisis adaptation and world trends in economic development. The concept of international mergers and acquisitions in international business, their essence and characteristics are defined. The meaning of the concepts "company merger" and "company acquisition" is characterized. The main forms and methods of mergers and acquisitions in international business are determined: horizontal, vertical, generic, conglomerate. The tendencies of the process of mergers and acquisitions in the context of modern features of Ukraine's economy are described: the Ukrainian market of mergers and acquisitions can be attributed to the one that is only at the stage of its development and formation and the immaturity of mergers and acquisitions. and absorption. Ways to improve the M&A market are identified, the implementation of which will ensure the successful conduct of M&A operations: the correct choice of the merger and acquisition, setting specific goals, objectives, tasks, as well as determining the desired expectations and results of the consolidation process, maximum involvement of management and staff enterprises to the integrative process, thus the development of teamwork, ensuring the satisfaction of consumer needs, the focus on ensuring transparency and flexibility of change in the company.
