Abstract
The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the organization of the rhythmic structure of a prose text, which is one of the stylistic features of the modernist trend in the English literature. The main rhythm-forming components in the text of a modernist novel are revealed at the syntactic, lexical and phonetic levels. On the basis of the analysis, the authors have found out that the most important principle of prose rhythmic organization is isosyntaxism, and various euphonic means largely play a secondary role.
