Abstract

Literary translation into Russian is the most important means of intercultural dialogue and preservation of the languages of the peoples of Russia. The article considers the Komi poet Albert Vaneev’s system of views on the process of poetic translation: excellent knowledge of the translation language by the translator, high-quality subscript, connection with the original text. The selection of translations of different poets means for Albert Vaneev an indirect form of authorization and evaluation of the equivalence of translation and the adequacy of its perception in another culture. The quality of translation itself depends on objective and subjective factors.
