Abstract
Subject. The article highlights the application of various technologies in the manufacture of carved icons. Goal. Identify the most efficient manufacturing technology from an economic point of view. Method or methodology. The analysis is based on research on this topic, and the methods of analysis, deduction, comparison and expert method are also used. The results of the work. The analysis made it possible to identify the most effective and best technology for manufacturing products in terms of «price-quality» ratio, which, in turn, meets all the requirements and is endowed with the corresponding characteristics. Conclusions. There is no perfect technological process for the manufacture of Orthodox carved icons; each has its own advantages and disadvantages. The considered technologies for the manufacture of Orthodox icons are currently relevant and are used in the art of wood carving.
