In addition, it attempts to investigate the possible correlation between these fields, but also the effect of demographic characteristics on the professional resilience and self-efficacy of school leaders. For the research purposes, the mixed method was used -with the combination of quantitative and qualitative research- and the methodological triangulation of the results followed, resulting in a high level of professional resilience, a satisfactory sense of self-efficacy and a statistically significant correlation between them. The impact of demographic characteristics appears small in the issues under investigation, while the sense of self-efficacy of of school heads in schools with a small student population (≤100) to be significantly smaller than that of school heads in schools with a larger number of students, a finding confirmed by the qualitative analysis of the data.
