Abstract
The article deals with the tendencies to the revitalization in certain nationally active circles of the contemporary Ukrainian society (late 20th — early 21st centuries) of various aspects of linguo-historical myth creation — as one of the manifestations of ‟amateur linguistics” in the general context of, on the one hand, a significantly increased attention at this time to Ukrainian national problems, and on the other hand, distrust of «official» science (history, ethnology, linguistics, etc.).
