Abstract

In the trend of the 4th industrial revolution era, the Living Lab, which recognizes the limitations of existing supplier-centered R&D and emphasizes user participation and field orientation, is emerging as an important methodology. Living Lab, which means 'laboratory', which means a method of setting up living spaces in a specific area and solving problems through cooperation between the public, the private sector, and citizens, aims to establish a cooperative network and solve local problems by connecting universities and local communities. It is spreading in Korea as a major model that can be used, and it can contribute to nurturing innovative and creative talents by applying the curriculum using the Living Lab at universities. Accordingly, this study analyzed various domestic and foreign living lab application cases based on the consideration of the living lab application methodology. In addition, through the living lab case analysis applied to the university curriculum, the university curriculum innovation model through the living lab has been suggested. Through this study, in terms of demonstration, the limitations of the domestic living lab being operated as a project to test the success of the technology without much difference from the existing test bed were examined. In terms of user participation, it is said that users are involved as innovation agents, but it is not leading to actual participation claimed to be required. In terms of nurturing talent, the Living Lab is necessary to nurture talented people who can lead innovative society, and emphasized the need to open a curriculum that can play a role in raising interest in local issues by spreading the Living Lab culture. Various living lab application cases and curriculum innovation model presented in this study are expected to be helpful in designing and operating curriculum in domestic universities.
