Abstract

The given article studies the vowel systems of ancient armenian and latin with a comparative approach. Using the synchronic approach, the etymological commonalities still preserved between the phonetic systems of the two related (Indo-European) languages in the classical stage of their history and the peculiarities resulting from their independent development are highlighted. This work is aimed at studying the vowel systems of the ancient armenian and latin languages and identifying the similarities and differences between them.
