Abstract

The purpose of the research is to characterize the documents of the Reichsleiter Rosenberg Taskforce and the Commissioner of the Fuehrer for the Supervision of the Entire Intellectual and Ideological Schooling and Training of the NSDAP (or briefl y the Rosenberg Offi ce) as sources about the life of the representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia, who migrated to Western Europe in 1943–1944. The research methodology consists of historical-archival, historical[1]comparative research methods, source analysis methods. The scientifi c novelty is determined by the fact that the materials of the Rosenberg Offi ce, in particular, have not yet been the subject of a separate comprehensive scientifi c archival and source review for their possible use as the historical sources on the life of the representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia, who migrated to Western Europe in 1943–1944. Conclusions. The analysis of the documents from the Reichsleiter Rosenberg Taskforce as well as related documents of the Rosenberg Offi ce allows us to conclude that a number of their documents for 1943–1944 contain the valuable information on several dozen persons from Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus, who collaborated with the Rosenberg Offi ce and the Reichsleiter Rosenberg Taskforce as researchers, librarians, translators, etc. These documents were characterized by the place of storage, in form and content: among them were reports, lists of employees, correspondence. They contain information about the place of work, place of residence, salary, marital status, job duties, as well as personal data: age, education, profession, knowledge of the German language.
