Abstract
In the regions of Western Siberia, the NKVD and the prosecutor’s office, in difficult conditions, managed to normalize the criminal situation, liquidate bandit formations, thieves’ gangs, attracting an agent apparatus for this, regularly checking the places of concentration of the antisocial element. The fight against homelessness and neglect has become an important task for law enforcement officers. A difficult situation has developed in the penitentiary system. During the war, the supply of prisoners deteriorated significantly, staff guards were called to the front, their place was occupied by women and the disabled.
