Abstract

The article is devoted to the 150th anniversary of the ethnographer, folklorist, musicologist Sergei Gavrilovich Rybakov and to the 120th anniversary of the publication of his work “Music and Songs of the Ural Muslims and Studies of Their Way of Life”. The authors give little-known facts about the creative biography of Rybakov, which significantly supplement and refine earlier published information, present a brief overview of the published works, many of which remain unknown to broad scientific community. Rybakov’s works do not lose their relevance and clearly illustrate the breadth, depth and scope of his scientific interests.
