Abstract
The article analyses lexico-semantic filling of the concept КОНЬ (HORSE) by the material of the Kuban Cossack phraseology. The paper aims to describe lexical representation of the concept in the Kuban proverbs, sayings and phraseological units. Relying on semantic description of the concept basic names - the lexemes КОНЬ and ЛОШАДЬ - the author concludes that in the Kuban phraseological and paroemiological fund, differences in the semantics of the synonyms КОНЬ and ЛОШАДЬ disappear, but the lexeme КОНЬ has a richer semantic potential.
