Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of teaching linguistics majors to analyze a foreign language lesson. Methodological analysis is one of the aspects of teacher training, and teaching it helps develop analytical and lesson planning/organizing skills in students. The author defines the importance of analytical skills, their place in the structure of methodological competence, reveals the possibilities of their development in the process of teaching students different types of methodological analysis of the lesson, describes the organization of training and its results.
