Abstract

Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak was indeed a notable poet and scholar during the early Islamic era. He distinguished himself with an elegant and straightforward style in his poetry. His verses were characterized by eloquence, clarity, and a deep religious resonance. Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak's poetic skill was evident in his ability to craft verses that conveyed profound ideas with simplicity and sincerity. His poetry often delved into themes of asceticism, piety, death, and the afterlife. Studying Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak's poetry is significant because asceticism was prevalent in second-century AH poetry and was closely intertwined with the lives and societal norms of people from all walks of life. Asceticism served as a poetic motif through which various aspects of Arab life during ancient history can be discerned and understood. In this concise article, I present an artistic analysis focusing on the poetic compositions of Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak. The article is structured into two main sections and a conclusion. The first section discusses the life of Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak, while the second section explores the grammatical structures found in his poetry.
