Abstract

Ukrainian literature of the last decades, which denies the reality of life and seeks to free itself from “mimetic referentiality” (by G. Miller), as well as modern literary studies from afar, are trying to pass the question of verbal and artistic mimesis for a long time. The term “realism” almost completely disappeared from the theoretical arsenal of researchers of domestic literature (or in theoretical discourses it is attributed negative connotations), and at the same time the concept of “mimesis” has been disappearing as well.
