Abstract

Increasing the efficiency of using the resource potential is the basis for ensuring not only the competitiveness of economic entities in the agricultural sector, but also the food security of the country. Within the framework of the scientific research, an assessment of the efficiency of the use of agricultural production resources in farms of various categories – agricultural organizations, peasant (farmer) farms (K(F)) was carried outX) and households of the population – personal subsidiary and other individual farms of citizens. The theoretical basis of the scientific research was the works of domestic and foreign scientists-economists devoted to the management of agricultural production resources and improving the efficiency of their use. The information and empirical base of the study was formed on the basis of a set of statistical data on the state of the agricultural sector in Russia in the period from 2013 to 2019. In the course of collecting, accumulating and processing information, such methods of economic research as analytical, monographic and statistical-economic were used. The object of the study was the economic entities of the agrarian sphere of Russia, the subject of the study was a set of theoretical and practical issues of assessing the efficiency of using agricultural production resources in farms of various categories. As a result of the conducted scientific research, a high efficiency of the use of land resources in agricultural organizations and the small-format sector of the economy has been established. It is determined that labor productivity in the agricultural sector exceeds the productivity indicators for the economy as a whole. The assessment of changes in the energy supply of the industry is given, the coefficients of renewal and retirement of fixed production assets of agricultural producers are considered. Insufficient equipment of the industry with tractors and combines was revealed, a high degree of wear of agricultural machinery and an increase in the load on it were established, which has a negative impact on the resource potential of agricultural producers and production efficiency.
