Abstract
On the basis of the original source - photo albums of one taiga Old Believer-chapel, both techniques of external and internal criticism of such data are characterized, and the method of fxing such a type of historical and ethnographic evidence is being worked out. Heuristic value provides as rare for the 1970-1990sthe “hobby” of the owner is the occupation of amator photography (we state that until the time of our research in the ethno-confessional group there was a ban on such practice). The biography of this personality is typical for the group as a whole - the change of several settlements during one life (in this case - from Verkhoviy to the Middle Course of the Yenisei). Such mobility, along with the “documentation” of the main stages of resettlement, allows you to directly reconstruct the phenomenon of “religious migrations.”
