Abstract
The article describes the content, as well as the methods of organizing and conducting, the system of events of military-patriotic education in the educational institution "Grodno State Agrarian University". The results obtained over a long period testify to the effectiveness and popularity of the educational model chosen in the institution of higher education among the students, not only in the formation of military-applied motor skills, but also, first of all, in the active personal social position of a citizen and patriot of his country. This allows us to conclude that the heroic-historical, mass cultural and sports events introduced into the educational space of the university are relevant and in demand.
