Abstract

This paper is intended to raise the problems of implementing inclusive school education in St. Petersburg. In-clusive education allows to improve socialization of children with special needs, promotes mutual understand-ing. Moreover, it reduces prejudice and strengthens social inclusion. Equally, it develops social justice, which is very important for these children. To develop these elements, several forms of inclusive education are being implemented. Inclusive education is a system that is based on the flexibility of the curriculum, taking into ac-count the contextual characteristics and needs of each of the students, which allows them to receive education most effectively. Within the framework of the topic, an applied study was conducted on the problems of imple-menting inclusive education in public schools in St. Petersburg. The study is based on the analysis of data ob-tained from a survey conducted among teachers, school administration, parents of typical students and stu-dents with special needs.
