Abstract

The article discusses the concept of adaptive physical culture and analyzes Russian and foreign experience in the development of this type of physical training. At the same time, it is considered what effect this type of rehabilitation physical education has on a person, on his physical and psychological state. Since the main role in the development of adaptive physical culture is played by sports federations and public foundations, the article describes what in different countries promotes or hinders the development of Paralympic sports and sports movement for people with disabilities in general. In Russia, for example, 
 the solution of the problem of rehabilitation of disabled people is carried out mainly at the state level. 
 In other countries, public associations are working on this to a greater extent.
