Abstract
The article studies cases of abbreviation in German texts by M. Lomonosov, including initials, etiquette title names, and contractions of dates, city names, measures and currency. The authors propose a lexicographic description model for presenting contracted words and phrases in the upcoming dictionary of Lomonosov’s German vocabulary. The study also focuses on methodological issues such as borders of Lomonosov’s German idiolect.
