Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period between childhood and adulthood. Adolescents at this age are getting confidence and self-esteem low due to the confusion of identity. Thus, it is essential for young adults to develop abilities to identify their life challenges on their own, and learn how to resolve those issues and relief their stresses in appropriate ways. The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of food expressive art therapy program on the middle school students’ self-efficacy and self-esteem to form positive self image. The subjects of this research are as followed. First, What is the relationship between food expression art therapy programs and self-efficacy? Second, What is the relationship between food expression art therapy programs and self-esteem? The food art therapy program was completed in 8 sessions. Each session was 80 minutes long, and conducted once a week from July 24, 2017 to September 12, 2017. The results of this study were summarized as following.
