Abstract
The article presents the results of a clinical observation of patient K. with multiple symmetrical lipomatosis, also known as Madelung’s disease. It is a rare disease of unclear etiology, characterized by the growth of unencapsulated fat masses primarily around the head, upper shoulder girdle and back. Lipomatosis is the appearance of numerous lipomas in the subcutaneous tissue that have a connective tissue capsule or pass into the area of normal adipose tissue without a clear boundary. Primarily, the treatment of lipomatosis is carried out only by the surgical method. Surgery is the only way to remove fatty growths from the patient’s body.
