Methods The subjects of the study were data collected from 3-5 years old attending a daycare center located in the Gyeonggi province and evaluated through the mother's report.
Results Descriptive statistics were conducted using SPSS 25.0, and the structural equation model was analyzed through AMOS 18.0 to verify the mediating effect. The results of this study are as follows.
Conclusions Firstly, child's temperament showed a significant negative correlation with the paternal involvement and the maternal parenting stress. Secondly, the child's temperament showed significant effect in the maternal parenting stress through the complete mediating effect of paternal involvement. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it was found that the child’s temperament through the paternal involvement is a strong predicting variable of the mother's parenting stress.
