Abstract

This paper is a study that critically examined the general understanding of the political sect of the late Goryeo period and early Joseon dynasty. It is common to understand the political sect of this period through a dualistic framework based on the conservative and innovative conflict structure. However, the issue of conceptualization of the Shinjin- Sadaebu and the Sarim has been disputed over the sudden replacement of the ruling class. In addition, criticisms are being made about how to over-represent the local community in an advanced manner, or how to understand the central and local areas as opposites. It is also argued that the political sect of this period have provided conditions for continuous reproduction. The basic framework of the general theory is based on the way of connecting political and social history directly based on the perspective of conservative and innovative conflict structure. The construction of a new history and description framework of Koryo Dynasty~Joseon Dynasty needs to start from the limitations of the basic composition of the general public and the understanding of the research landscape in which such composition is being made.
