Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences in job values and conflict management characteristics according to the generation of early childhood teachers. The participants of the study were 202 teachers from 25 early childhood education institutions in J Province. The collected data were analyzed using one-way distribution analysis. First generational differences were found in the intrinsic and extrinsic job values of early childhood teachers. Second, in terms of conflict management characteristics, generational differences were found in the integrated, evasive, and compromised characteristics. In conclusion, the analysis of job values and conflict management characteristics based on generational differences among early childhood teachers suggest the need for various teacher support measures that consider the characteristics of each generation to accommodate, respect, and create an organizational culture atmosphere in early childhood education institutions.
