Abstract
The research is devoted to the issues of state management of socio-economic processes in the regions of the Russian Federation. The article discusses the main aspects and methods of management, as well as approaches and scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists in this field. The authors emphasize the importance of public administration for the economic and social development of regions and improving the standard of living of the population. Among the methods that are used in this process, the authors make a distinction between the subject of management and the object of management.
