The modern labor market is undergoing constant transformation due to technological advancements and changes in economic and political landscapes. These developments have a significant impact on the career paths of young professionals, their expectations, and aspirations. This article examines the evolving trends in labor values among younger generations and their implications for the stability of their professional trajectories in the new economic environment. The author analyzes the challenges of modern career counseling, which is increasingly relying on digital tools, and emphasizes the significance of early engagement in vocational guidance. The study reveals that young people's professional self-identification is often guided by outdated frameworks, necessitating the development of novel approaches and strategies for career counseling that align with the evolving dynamics of the job market. The article presents empirical data from a survey of students in Omsk that form the basis for an analysis of the impact of career guidance initiatives on the stability of professional paths. The findings of this research reflect the level of student confidence in their choice of profession and identify factors contributing to uncertainty, such as low wages, a lack of skills, doubts about the relevance of their chosen field, and disappointment with the content and quality of their education. The article also proposes strategies for improving career guidance practices that can help students develop more stable professional trajectories and facilitate their successful integration into the workforce and society. These strategies aim to address the challenges identified in the survey and promote the development of a more skilled and confident workforce.
