Abstract
The article examines the awareness of students, school teachers, social workers of Tula region about the psychological and pedagogical heritage of Janusz Korczak, exploring their value attitude to his most important ideas. In modern conditions Dr. Korczak's humanistic position is especially in demand, helping teachers not just to cope with the difficult socio-economic and political situation, but also to develop resilience in themselves and their students. Analyzing the priorities of students and teachers, the author emphasized the particular importance of Janusz Korczak's book «How to Love Children» which is becoming increasingly relevant in this troubling situation. Teachers' knowledge of the rights of the child suggested by Korczak helps to create a psychologically safer environment in the school classroom.
