Abstract

The subject of the article is a review and analysis of the current state of development of heavy trench excavators, improvement of designs of their working bodies and control systems. The aim of the work is to increase the productivity, reliability and energy efficiency of excavators. As methods for achieving the goal, element-by-element comparison of the technical characteristics of excavators, system engineering and 3D-modeling were used. The development of an automatic control system for the excavator, which minimizes energy costs for its operation and increases its reliability and productivity by reducing the influence of the human factor on them is a result of the work. A design of the three-row rotor is proposed, which provides more uniform digging of trenches than the known rotors.
