Abstract
The article traces how the decorative nature of traditional cultural symbols in the design of public dining spaces gradually acquires diversified characteristics. This article deeply analyzes three styles of public catering spaces, to reveal the characteristics of using a number of traditional symbols in Chinese national culture. It analyzes the intrinsic value and “metaphorical” meaning, reconstructs the aesthetics of public catering space, realizes the perceptual and experiential needs of people at the spiritual level.
