Abstract

Afghanistan has one of the lowest literacy rates in the world, which is largely responsible for the country’s sluggish economic growth, stagnation and ongoing armed conflict over the past five decades. Low literacy rates are the result of neglecting education, which is the most important factor in success and growth in today’s world. This study aims to explore how educational level affects the participation of women in entrepreneurship and business. A quantitative approach was chosen as the main one in the study; a structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The results of the study showed a significant correlation between the level of education, the availability of finance, the legal field, personal business qualities and the participation of women in entrepreneurial activities.
