Abstract

The article discusses the regularities of urban planning development in the RSFSR, their relation to the main historical events, as well as the influence of these events on each stage of the periodization and generation of urban factors. Key factors in the transition from local-urban planning to regional planning were: the transition of private property to the status of the state, the development of industry, the transfer of all production from the frontline areas to the east during wartime, the rapid development of new sources of strategic raw materials and energy, increased trends in population growth.
