Abstract

A clinical case: a patient with a severe multiple injury as a result of a traffic accident. The treatment of severe combined injuries is successful in a multidisciplinary hospital with the possibility of early diagnosis of injuries and prevention of further complications due to a combination of correct surgical and traumatological tactics, correctly selected infusion-transfusion therapy with the complex of modern rehabilitation measures. The purpose of the study: to describe a clinical case of effective provision of emergency medical care to a victim with severe polytrauma. The research shows the difficulties of diagnosis and the results of surgical treatment. Materials and methods: the study used materials of medical documentation of the Traumatology Department in the Archbishop Luke Tambov City Clinical Hospital. Conclusions: due to the increase in the number of traffic accident and severe injuries, further development of diagnostics, availability of computer, magnetic resonance tomography scanners, development of traumatology and surgery will contribute to timely diagnosis and effective treatment of life-threatening conditions that occur among victims of traffic accidents.
