Abstract
The article considers the possibilities and options for assessing the criteria of economic security of the national economic system. The study pays special attention to the establishment of criteria for the level of economic security of the Russian economic system in the context of existing international sanctions. In the main part of the article, based on the analysis and generalization of existing approaches and methods for assessing economic security criteria, it is established that it is necessary to link the methodologies for calculating them at various economic levels to build an integral indicator of economic security. It is also noted that adequate statistical infrastructure is necessary for an objective and timely reflection of the state of the national economic system. The authors consider the methodological foundations for assessing the economic security of the national economic system of the Russian Federation. According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 05/13/2017 No. 208, the most important indicators of economic security from the group of economic and group of social criteria were identified, according to which the analysis of the correspondence of actual values with their thresholds for 2018–2023 was carried out, conclusions were formulated based on the results. Also in the article, the authors identified areas of activity on the condition and development of which sanctions of Western countries had a certain negative impact. The analysis of the dynamics of the results of the consequences of international sanctions and restrictions in these areas of activity from 2014 to the present was carried out. In conclusion, the authors of the article attempted to develop, based on a few macroeconomic indicators, an integral indicator of the economic security of the national economic system, which made it possible to analyze the levels of economic security of the Russian Federation and the countries that most impede the development of the Russian economy through sanctions. The results of the analysis made it possible to state that despite the enormous sanctions pressure, Russia is in a cluster reflecting an above-average level of economic security. The authors also proposed directions for further improving the level of economic security of the national economic system.
