Abstract

The article considers the personal characteristics of adolescents and young men experiencing loneliness. It analyzes the psychological qualities that accompany the process of loneliness: attachment, impulsivity, emotional instability and anxiety. Adolescents are characterized by a higher level of experiencing a sense of loneliness, as compared to young men, which suggests the presence of age-specific features in the manifestation of such psychological phenomenon. Those adolescents are diagnosed with the following indicators: a high level of introversion, a manifestation of attachment, a reduced level of self-control, emotional instability, as well as manifestations of situational anxiety. The results of the study of the subjective feeling of loneliness in adolescents and young men made it possible to develop and implement a correctional psychological and pedagogical program “Productive communication unites and develops personality” and on its basis to give practical recommendations for preventive, consulting and correctional work, as well as to increase the level of competence of parents and teachers in understanding the genesis of the phenomenon of loneliness in adolescents and young men. The introduction of a psychological and pedagogical program allows not only to eliminate the feeling of loneliness in adolescents, but also makes it possible to solve complex age-related issues of experiencing many emotional states of a developing personality
