Abstract
The article considers the basics for developing the components of emotional intelligence in older preschool children and the practical study of those components. The main new formations of preschool age studied by Russian scientists are presented. The analysis of the current state in developing the components of emotional intelligence in preschoolers of different age groups (5–6 years and 6–7 years) is given.
