Abstract
City parks have a high demand from visitors, and limited areas to meet all needs. Despite the fact that modern cities are the most acceptable form of human coexistence, in most cases their environment and lifestyle are not natural for humans. Therefore, green spaces remain desirable centers of nature, and we can see especially extraordinary attention to their arrangement in megacities. The more the urban environment contrasts with the natural, the more meaningful parks are for city dwellers. Therefore, awareness of the role of green spaces in achieving sustainable development of cities becomes relevant. The article offers the author's vision of achieving sustainable development of cities through the organization of city parks. The practical significance of the article lies in the proposal of implementation of tasks related to the development of city parks at different levels of territorial organization, which allows to comprehensively solve the task of sustainable development of cities.
