Abstract

An exercise-based mindful program made effects on the cardiovascular system and muscle strength in older adults. Numerous studies have indicated that exercise training has a beneficial effect on health; but the results of mindful-based exercise program between acute indoor and outdoor programs were still unclear. This study conducted an acute mindful exercise program and outdoor midnful exercise program for 18 older women. The mindful exercise program was based on 12 movements, including controlling the breath in 23 minutes of exericse time. After the acute indoor and outdoor exercise programs, the participants showed significantly improved blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and branchial-ankle pulse wave velocity compared with acute indoor exercise program. In conclusion, the acute outdoor mindful exercise program had more beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system in older women compared with acute indoor exercise program.
