Abstract
The paper illustrates the advances in research and the educational results in the field of generative syntax achieved by a group of scientists who have adopted this paradigm and dedicated themselves to continuing the scientific and teaching legacy of Prof. Yordan Penchev. I review the current state of the syntax curriculum at the University of Plovdiv and present the advantages of configuration analysis, the possibilities of structurography, the contribution of mathematical prognostic methods and the prospects opened by grammar games.
