Abstract

In this the author deals with the issues of transformation of the socio-normative culture of the Circassians in the context of administrative and legal transformations in the second half of the 19th century. The author substantiates the importance of socio-normative regulators of society, the role of traditional social institutions in preserving the identity of the ethnic group. The article focuses on Russia's active policy on peoples living on the outskirts, so that they become involved and quickly adapt to the political and legal system of Russia.
