Abstract
Communicative behavior is a set of norms and traditions of particular nation's communication that people use to identify their and others' belonging to a particular linguistic and cultural community. Nowadays, widely available sources of information about national and cultural traditions and habits include a variety of digital artifacts presented on the Internet. Such artifacts are relevant material for study. The purpose of this study is to compare Russian communicative behavior, shown in a contemporary material, with the description presented in the scientific literature. The research method is the situational model of the description of the communicative behavior. Research material is the popular short fiction films of the Birchpunk project about Russia of the future. To achieve the purpose the following tasks were carried out. First, a set of communicative situations for analysis was chosen, its are establishment and termination of communicative contact. Second, a review of case studies to identify the features of Russian communicative behavior in general and in selected situations was conducted. Third, using the situational model the communicative behavior of characters was described and analyzed. Finally, a comparison of data obtained at the stages of review and analysis was made. It was found that the samples of communicative behavior contained in the films studied are typical for the Russian linguistic and cultural community, but have a number of nuances related to the peculiarities of the material.
