Abstract

There is a lack of academic definition of product design as well as lectures on it at universities despite the current job posting from Unicorn finance. As mentioned above, because the lecture is able to help cultivate experts through the curriculum organized from the contents of job posting of company, this research intends to focus on product design; and it helps to cultivate experts of product design in the IT field. Based on the opinions of experts currently working as product designers, the study aims to confirm the necessary content and direction, UX, and UI balance. For this reason, this research is proceeded with Delphi. This is because it is efficient in diagnosing problems that have not found consensus and deriving solutions. To this end, seven experts are recruited to conduct research; this experiment is terminated on condition that all experts derive positive answers. It was confirmed that the product design should be balanced with a ratio of 70% UX and 30% UI. And the validity of the derived design from the whole process of study should be confirmed by data. The above process should be organized logically so that it can be helpful for communication. These product design courses are at the time of taking both UX and UI a nd s hould b e a ssigned a t t he t ime o f t he s enior g rade a head o f employment. F urthermore, design tools will be organized around Figma, and the sense of editing design will be helpful to UI design. This research confirmed the contents and directions that can help cultivate product design designers through expert interviews. Through the study, I intend to open a course to train experts in product design by reflecting the necessary directions and contents; the course will pursue research on what needs to be improved it. As mentioned above, it will be intended to help train experts necessary for the present era and to help organize product design curricula at universities.
